Thesis Advisor 

Each student must identify his/her dissertation advisor and submit the application form completed with the advisor’s signature by July 31st in the first year of enrollment.

The advisor is required to satisfy all of the following:

1. Primary Advisor: Must be a full-time faculty member of this Institute. Only after all full-time faculty members have reached their quota may capacity be released to joint-appointment faculty members.

2. Extramural grant support from NSTC (formerly MOST) or NHRI at least every other year.

3. Publications in international journals (e.g., SCI) within the last 3 years.

The faculty meeting must approve the process in April of the first year.
