Life is the most important memory to everyone. We are trying to use the local collective memories to display the specific characteristics of the area. So we choose some things to make as the association elements which relate to their collective experience. Then we thought it’s difficult to let the seniors share their stories. Maybe it’s because they are not familiar with it or the experience is hard or bad for them. We come up with an idea in which we only choose some positive or relative association elements to interact with the seniors.
Finally, we use the stimulation cards and the dice in three themes. Through this way to make it focus on the pleasure part. We separated the stimulation cards into different themes and made sure the questions were related to the elements on the dice.
Otherwise, the dice are also a tool for stimulating the senior’s memories.

The field study is planning with the idea of local living. We chose several places such as the Tsailiao Fossil museum, The Beiji Temple and the settlement around the temple. The two different types are the famous parts at Zuojhen. The former is like a place that introduces the story with Zuojhen and even includes some biological knowledge related to the fossil. The latter is about the traditional religion of Zuojhen. There are some specific traditional practices. And the temple made an exhibition to display the religious practice for the visitors. Which shows the different living styles with their brief and culture.
The field study gave us the opposite experience to figure out life there. We thought that was very impressive, and let us come up with various key associations with the residents. After this study we have seen numerous factors of Zuojhen. Even though we got more material to transit for the suitcase.

During the workshop, make us more clearly focus on what we are interested in and how to make the question concentrate on that. Formerly, it was difficult to know how to relate the images and the questions. In the beginning, we tried to find out some keywords and important components in the image. then step by step to focus on which image’s elements can more clearly connect with the idea. Also, let us be more familiar with how to use the old photo link in real life. Finally, we finished college to interact with the seniors.
The different process in the workshop is just like a guide for us to concentrate more on what the images are telling. And help us to capture clear thinking when doing some creative works. It is such a new method to stimulate someone to come up with a special idea.
