In phase 1, our task is to create the cards based on John Thompson’s Photo. Thompson is a pioneer photographer, who sailed to Formosa(former name of Taiwan) at Takau (which is Kaohsiung city now) during the 19th century. He traveled around the capital city of Formosa, (which was Tainan city now). He took many photos of places he had visited. The photos that were taken by him show the conditions and means of living of local people during that period. In phase 1, our objective is to utilize Thompson’s photo and do recreation to his photo. Recreational photos will be given to seniors or old local peoples, who lived in the Zuozhen district(North-eastern district of Tainan city). The recreation photo will differ from the original Thompson's photo during the 19th century. The recreation photo comes with a set of questions and extra key elements that help in case that the originals might not clearly relate to the question.

Workshop (DAY1/DAY2)
There were 2 days for workshopps. On the 1st day, our members arrived at the department. We are assigned to prepare the cards and games for senior members on the 2nd day. During the first session, we are trying out and starting with some games that we are going to play and that is how we are going to interact with senior members. After we became familiar with the game, we continued with the second session which was to prepare creative cards from Thompson's photo. These cards will be shown to seniors after we finish the ice-breaking game. The games are similar to the games we play in the first session. These cards will consist of elements that are not present in Thompson’s photograph, we create the cards in such a way that the cards give some memories of the past of the senior member. On the 2nd day, we are going to the Zuozhen district of Tainan city. We are going to meet them at the community center. So the day event is divided into 2 sessions, morning and afternoon sessions. Each session, we are given a chance to interact with different seniors with the cards and games we prepared on the day before.

Progression
For the recreation cards from Thompson’s photograph, we firstly chose 15 photographs amongst hundreds of photographs through the discussion between group members to get the most suitable option. After we chose the selected photo of Thompson, we found some elements that were already seen in the original photograph. This element will be used to develop questions so that they can be related to the provided element. After we get the set of questions related to all the selected photos, we find some extras which can be put or added onto Thompson’s photograph. The extra elements we get will be stuck into the original of Thompson’s photo. These extras will give more information or it will make more clear Thompson’s original photo and the sets of questions that we make.
