SENIOR NUMERACY

Numeracy Programme

For the first 14 weeks of term, our Numeracy programme will prepare any senior students who have not yet achieved in the Common Assessment for their next attempt at the assessment. This assessment is worth 10 Credits and counts towards the Numeracy requirement for NCEA. 

The Assessment is scheduled for Week   of Term 2. 

Students will access this assessment online and may use an approved calculator to assist them.

The topics covered in this programme will include:

• Percentages, Decimals and Fractions

• Basic Financial Literacy

• Measurement Conversion

• Area, Perimeter and Volume

• Reading Graphs and Statistical Literacy

• Bearings and Geometry

• 2D and 3D Shapes
