Welcome to NCEA Level 2 Mathematics.

Greymouth High School offers two level 2 programmes of study in Maths. 

MAT212 is designed with Trades Pathways in mind, with a focus on Internal Assessments (5 standards) with 1 external exam at the end of the year. This is an academic course including a range of achievement standards which allows for students to achieve a subject endorsement. It provides a pathway to Level 3 via MAT313 or STS313. 

AIMS (Advancing In Mathematical Sciences) is designed with Higher Education Pathways in mind, such as science, medicine and engineering. It includes 3 internal assessments and 3 external assessments at the end of the year. It provides a pathway to Level 3 via CLC313, STS313 or MAT313.
