Year 9 Programme

Supported Learning - Greymouth High School
The T.R.U.M.P. Programme is written to support the New Zealand curriculum. All tasks have a focus on the broad range of curriculum areas and are written at Level 1 of the New Zealand Curriculum. However as this is an Entry Level, on each page it is anticipated that further differentiation of outcomes of tasks will ensure that learning is relevant and meaningful to a learner who is working towards Level 1 of the curriculum. There is a minimum requirements for eight tasks from each book to be complete across eight different curriculum areas. Although each workbook has a specific focus on a Key Competency, it is also anticipated that more than one competency will be demonstrated in any of the workbooks. The TRUMP books may be used at this time.
Also selected as the most fitting for students at this stage of their learning are the SPEC modules Life Skills 'Health and Hygiene', I.C.E. - In Case of Emergency". From the Leisure bracket we will use 'Horse Riding' and 'Keep Fit'. From the Vocational bracket we will use 'Managing Self'. There is scope for individual interest modules.
