Many of our students do so well in their internships, co-ops, and apprenticeships that they earn full-time jobs and college tuition or reimbursement after they graduate. At the very least, students get valuable work experience they can use to build their resumes, potential job recommendations, and confirmation they've either chosen the right career path (or the wrong one!).

bonds esthetics program reaches 100% pass rate!

Alison Horton was in her second year teaching esthetics at Bonds Career Center in 2018-2019. Every senior in that class passed her state board exam, meaning each of them is now a licensed esthetician in the state of SC. We are so proud of all of them for working so hard to reach their goals.

Mrs. Horton's class is the perfect example of Graduation Plus, the school district's initiative to ensure every senior graduates with a professional certification, college credit, or both!

Alison Horton began her third year of teaching esthetics at Bonds in the fall of 2019. In her second year, every student in Mrs. Horton's senior class passed her state professional licensure exam. Estheticians are trained in skin care, waxing, and makeup application and have a variety of career options after they earn their professional certification.
