In 2021, Greenville County Schools established a Work-Based Learning Employer Agreement that must be signed by the worksite supervisor prior to an apprenticeship, co-op, or internship starting.

Work-Based Learning Training Plan Elements

  • Details about the worksite and student's schedule

  • Student's job description

  • Objectives that show a progression of tasks

Work-Based Learning Employability Evaluation

  • Required for state accountability reporting

  • Ideally, students receive a mid-point and end-point evaluation to provide time for improvement

  • Goal is for students to score 3 or better on a 1-5 scale

  • Final page allows businesses to tailor evaluation with industry-specific skills
