LaunchGVL paid internship program

what is launchgvl?

LaunchGVL is a partnership between the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and Greenville County Schools. The purpose of the program is to provide paid internships to high school students that give them valuable work experience and an opportunity to "test drive" their chosen career path. The partnership began in the 2017-2018 school year, and it's grown every session since. Business owners have told us they have benefitted from the program just as much as our students. Interested businesses can learn more about LaunchGVL here. Interested students, keep reading!

launchgvl student success stories

I've worked with several students from Bonds Career Center and its feeder high schools who have earned LaunchGVL internships. Check out the videos on LaunchGVL's page called The Experience to learn more.

David Riddle (below left) and Spencer Reynolds (below right) turned their LaunchGVL internships into full-time jobs. Riddle is a graduate of Eastside High School and the Bonds Mechatronics program. Reynolds is a Greer High and Bonds Machine Tool graduate.

Daa'iyah Fogle (left, middle) is an Eastside High graduate. She made a big impact at BRIGHT + CO, a Greenville marketing community and a "return customer" of the LaunchGVL program.

In Fall 2019, Dylan Jeffress, an Eastside senior, made his mark at BRIGHT + CO as well.
