I attended Clemson University where I earned a BA in Psychology and a MEd in Agency Counseling before attending the University of South Carolina where I earned an Education Specialist degree in Counselor Education. In 2022, I earned my EdD in Education Systems Improvement Science. My previous work experience includes: Head Start (Family Service Worker & Disability and Mental Health Services Coordinator) and the SC Governor's Office - Continuum of Care for Emotionally Disturbed Children (Service Coordinator). I have worked at Wade Hampton High School since the 2002-2003 school year as the Freshman Academy School Counselor then with students in grades 9- 12 from 2018-2020. I became the director in the 2020 school year.

I earned the NBCT certification (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards) in Early Childhood through Young Adulthood in 2007 and have maintained that certification. I am certified by the SC Department of Education as an ADEPT Evaluator and a Mentor for new School Counselors. My professional affiliations include The American School Counselor Association and the Palmetto State School Counseling Association. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as well as the Junior League of Greenville, which are both National/International female volunteer service organizations.

I am happily married to Retired MSgt Willie Bolden, a US Air Force veteran and current AFJROTC instructor. We have two beautiful, happy, active, & intelligent children; a son and daughter. My favorite things to do are: spending time with my family, attending my kid's sporting and school activities, traveling, cooking, shopping, and sewing alterations/embroidery (when I have time).
