The Goal of the Future Teacher Academy is to prepare our students who are interested in the teaching profession through engaging, relevant curriculum. - To support our future educators through dual-enrollment courses and professional development workshops that provide for collaboration and cooperative learning. To inspire our future educators working in the field with an experienced teacher - encouraging them to return to Greenville County after graduation to pursue a career with us!

The benefits for FTA. Students will complete over 150 hours win a field placement working in a local school. They can earn up to 12 hours of college credit through Clemson University. They can earn CTE certification, CCR credentials. They can apply for a $1500 scholarship through the GCS Foundation. They can become qualified as a paraprofessional through WIN testing. They can take the Praxis Core Exam. They can earn Future Teacher Academy cords of distinction. They can elected to join the Future Teacher Academy Leadership Board
