The World of Education is the first tier of the Academy.  Within this tier, students complete the Early Childhood Education (honors) course. It is open to sophomores, juniors or seniors who are curious about a career in education.  It provides students with an overview of the teaching profession.  Students will gain an understanding of the growth and development of the whole child and learning needs in the early childhood, elementary, middle and high school levels.  They will learn how to support the whole child with exceptionalities in education.  They will acquire an understanding of school support and curriculum design   They will develop an understanding of the importance of school-community partner relationships.  The course will provide hands-on activities, service projects, and field experiences to offer real-world interactions.
