In this 3-hour dual-enrollment course, students will be given the opportunity to observe, participate, and reflect upon authentic public-school experiences. Through focused assignments, students will consider questions and concepts from their courses while situated in actual practice. Field experiences provide students with experiences that contextualize ideas and spur discussion in their courses. All students are required to log a minimum of 50 hours in their field placement over the course of the second semester.
Students are required to attend at least one GCSD school board meeting AND to send an email to a member of the school board expressing a concern they have about education or to share a positive experience they have had preparing to become an educator.

Was public input allowed and/or given? What was the result?
Based upon your observations during the meeting, give a short description of one of the responsibilities of school board members.
