Are you having an issue or do you need your Chromebook repaired? Here is the difference:
Issue: Chromebook not working properly-- Pages closing, site not loading, audio issues, camera not working. These issues can usually be solved in the classroom by troubleshooting with the information on this site. Student should only leave class for issues if all troubleshooting tips have been tried.
Repair: There is something physically BROKEN on your Chromebook-- cracked screen, missing key, touchpad not working, not charging.
In-person Students: Bring your Chromebook to the media center for repair/replacement in the morning by 8:30.
Virtual Students: Bring your Chromebook and charger to the school for troubleshooting anytime during the school day.
Note: RCMS reserves the right to revoke use of Chromebook for students at any time. Students who deliberately damage a Chromebook (or have their Chromebook deliberately damaged by a family member or peer) may not fall under the accidental damage procedure listed below. Intentional damage is considered a Level II Offense. Any additional major repairs will be charged to the student at a cost determined by Greenville County School District’s Educational Technology Services (ETS) department.

Ultimately, the student is responsible for the Chromebook assigned to them regardless of whether they were the individual in possession of the Chromebook at the time the damage occurred.
Procedure For Accidental Damage: The RCMS Administration understands that with any technology device, honest accidents can happen.
1st Incident of Accidental Damage: Parent notified by Media Center through Backpack, Repair/Replace at no cost to student
2nd Incident (+) of Accidental Damage: Parent notified by Media Center through Backpack, parts for repair may be charged to the student's account at a cost determined by Greenville County School District's Educational Technology Services (ETS) department
Damaged Chromebooks should be reported immediately to the Media Center. Students should not attempt repairs themselves or take the Chromebook to a third party vendor for repair.
