The Chromebook touchpad is slightly different from the traditional laptops.
The touchpad can be used to move the Chromebook arrow pointer and to select items on the screen.

If your touchpad stops working, try the following steps.
Test after each step to see if the touchpad works:
1. Make sure there is no dust or dirt on the touchpad.
2. Touch the Esc key several times.
3. Drumroll your fingers on the touchpad for ten seconds.
