Chromebooks update automatically. Students should turn their Chromebooks off on occasion while charging. Logging back in will enable updates to be applied.
To check for and apply updates to your Chromebook, try the following steps:
Click on your Chromebook's bottom toolbar in the status area (where your WiFi icon and the clock/time appears). Select the Settings icon- then About Chrome OS.
In the "About" window that appears, click Check for and apply updates. Your Chromebook will start to install any available updates.
Once completed, you will need to restart your Chromebook.
