Charging Cables
When Chromebooks are issued, students also receive a charge cord and power adapter ("the brick"). These charging cables are considered part of the Chromebook, and are the student's responsibility to care for and keep up with.
Students are asked to come to school with their Chromebook fully charged. Students should not bring their charging cables to school. Doing so reduces the chance of the cable being lost, taken, or broken. Instead, students should have a "charging station" at home where they plug in and charge their device every night. (We recommend having this near their backpack so they don't forget it in the morning!)
Lost or Damaged Cables
If any part of the set of Chromebook cables are lost or damaged, the full set must be replaced at the student's expense. Replacement cables are $30.74, which is payable to the school by check or cash.
Reduce the chance of cable damage!
Do not "yank" charge cables out of the outlet or Chromebook charge port by the cable. Pull the plug straight out of the outlet or port while holding the plug itself.
Keep cables at home and in the same place.
Wrap cables when not in use.
Keep cables out of reach from young siblings and pets, and well out of the way of foot traffic.
