Parent Tips

I recommend using magnectic letters to help your child with spelling word families. Only give your child the letters they need. Giving them all the letters at one time is over whelming. This way they only change either the beginning or ending sound heard in a word. Note the vowel letter to your child. Here is a list of word family examples.
