WIN Learning K12 Solution
Per South Carolina Legislative Act 94, schools must administer a career-readiness assessment to all grade 11 students (third year in high school after their initial enrollment in ninth grade). Students in their junior year are required to take the WIN (4) tests during the spring semester.
WIN Learning's Career Readiness System is a digital teaching and learning solution designed to prepare learners for career and college success. The system consists of career readiness courseware and assessment components that yield career readiness credentials, all of which are accessible through a single sign-on portal.
WIN Learning (WIN) helps school districts, community colleges, adult education programs, corrections, workforce development, and business and industry organizations ensure all learners and job seekers have the skills to be successful in their path to career readiness. WIN’s Personalized Career Readiness System provides learners and job seekers with the tools necessary to prepare them for the future, whether it’s college, a trade school, the military, or the workplace. This is a work-ready credential that some employers use to screen applicants for skills. By passing the WIN in high school, a student has earned the credential of College Career Readiness.
Achievement Levels 3-5 earn a credential for College Career Readiness
For accountability purposes, students need to earn a minimum of an Achievement Level 3 Credential or higher on the Work Ready assessment to meet one criteria for the CCR Indicator.
“Today’s workforce must not only meet mathematical, reading, and comprehension skills, but must demonstrate soft skills as well,”
Michael O. Williams, Michelin, Work Force Development Coordinator.
The WIN is offered twice a year :
Fall WIN will be held on October 27th-November 5th. This is primarily for those seniors seeking to obtain their CCR credentials.
Spring WIN will be held on March 31, 2026. All juniors will be REQUIRED to take the WIN on that day.
Earned certificates are sent to schools over the summer for distribution to students in August.
