Schauman
Hello! My name is Jordan Schauman and I am excited to be one of your new teachers this year. I am originally from Western New York (Go Bills!), but have been living in the Greenville area for the last five years. I graduated from Western Governors University with a Master of Arts in Teaching last Fall. I have been working as a substitute teacher in the Greenville County School District the last few years, and have loved the experiences I’ve had subbing at Woodland Elementary.
Prior to teaching, I spent five years as a school photographer for Lifetouch, meaning I've had a lot of experience working with children in a variety of school environments. Outside of teaching, I love enjoying the outdoors, taking pictures with my film cameras, and spending quality time with friends and family. I am looking forward to joining such a wonderful team and community this year!
Outside of School
Me (far right) and my family all together for my brother's wedding this Summer!
I am the baby of eight children, which means that I have seven siblings.
How you might find me when I'm not in the classroom: somewhere outside with my film cameras.
An example of my photography: one of my favorite wildlife shots I've ever taken! This is a red shouldered hawk I spotted on a trail walk last Fall.
What I looked like in Elementary School
I went to Cassadaga Elementary School in Western New York.
I always loved learning, and I cared greatly about being a successful student.
This is a picture of when I was in 5th grade! (I'm the one in the middle).
The two classmates I'm standing with are still some of my best friends to this day.
