Carlon Steller Grey is a dedicated teacher-artist based in the Greenville/Spartanburg community, recognized for her vibrant contributions to arts education and her artistic achievements. With a BA in Art Education and Art History and an MEd in Art Education from Converse College, Mrs. Steller Grey blends academic rigor with creative passion in both her teaching and personal artwork.
Her accolades include being named Beck Academy’s Teacher of the Year (2016-17), the South Carolina Middle Level Art Educator of the Year (2017) by the South Carolina Art Educator’s Association (SCAEA), and receiving the 2022 SCAEA Youth Art Month Award for her work as the SCAEA Western Region Representative. Most recently, she was honored with the Mary Whyte Art Educator Award, further cementing her role as a leader in arts education.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Steller Grey is a passionate artist, showcasing and selling her paintings and drawings throughout the Upstate region. Her work reflects a love for expressive forms and a dedication to fostering creativity in her community.
