Casey Kerr is a native of South Carolina and has resided in Taylors, SC since 2008. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors in Music Education with an emphasis on the Choral Track. She has 21 years of experience in Elementary, Middle and High School. Sixteen of those years have been in Greenville County at League Academy of Communication Arts where she is the Choral Director and General Music Specialist. She serves on the League’s Instructional Leadership Team as the ARTS team leader and is the Middle School Music Teacher Co-Lead teacher for the district. Casey is a current member of the National Association of Music Education and holds the position of Chairperson for the South Carolina Music Educators Association’s Middle School Choral Performance Assessment Committee. She is married to her husband of 21 years and has 2 daughters.
As a music educator, Chloe aims to help her elementary students master the basics of being a musician while also challenging them to experiment with new musical ideas. Chloe’s lessons incorporate student-centered activities that spark their interest through play and create a space for students to follow their musical curiosity in a safe and inclusive learning environment. Fostering connections with students through music brings her joy in teaching. Chloe is in her 3rd year of teaching music at Chandler Creek Elementary, Greer, SC. She received her Master’s of Music in Voice Pedagogy from The Shenandoah Conservatory and her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Bob Jones University.
Rebecca Payne is a professional actor, vocalist, and theatre educator. As a teaching artist with The Warehouse Theatre (WHT) for the past 8 years and Pecknel Music Company (PMC) for the past 3 years, Rebecca has led creative engagements and educational programs for all ages. With WHT, Rebecca has taught Shakespeare workshops, applied theatre workshops, and participated in Shakespeare Educational Tours, performing and teaching workshops with students all over South Carolina.
In her time post college, Rebecca has been performing with local theatres across the upstate including Centre Stage, GLOW Lyric Theatre, Younts Centre for the Performing Arts, Mauldin Cultural Center, The Warehouse Theatre, South Carolina Children's Theatre, and The Market Theatre to name a few. This fall will mark her 50th production as a theatre artist in the upstate. Outside of performance, she teaches Voice with PMC for students of all ages with a technique first approach.
Rebecca holds a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance in Foreign Language from the University of Memphis.
