Mrs. Newell
Hi! My name is Diane Newell and I am thrilled to be your precious child's teacher. This is my seventh year teaching at Woodland Elementary! To tell you a little about myself, I am married to Greg Newell, and we have been married for 34 years. We have two wonderful adult children we are extremely proud of. Our son, Graves, graduated from the University of South Carolina and works for Yellawood Lumber in Conyers, Georgia. Our daughter, Emma, graduated from Wofford College and teaches 11th and 12th grade English at Greenville High School. There is an adorable four legged member in our family and she is an Australian Shepherd named Shelley Anne. My parents and my sister and her family also live in Greenville. My brother, Mike, and his family live in Jackson, Tennessee, but I'm still hoping they will move back to Greenville one day :(. I received my B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Anderson University. I am entering my 13th year teaching this year. I have taught 2nd grade for 2 years and 1st grade for 11 years. I absolutely love teaching and there is nothing else in this world I would rather do. I am so excited about this year and all of the exciting things your child will be learning. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by telephone at (864)355-0443 or send me an email at dnewell@greenville.k12.sc.us and I will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing such an important time in your child's life with me. I'm looking forward to the successes your child and I will accomplish together!
