I've enjoyed teaching children as long as I can remember. My first real job, during high school and college, was as a lifeguard and swimming teacher. My favorite thing is to see the spark of excitement in the eyes of a student that has learned something new!❤️
This is my 28th year of teaching. It is my 18th year at Woodland, and I love it!
The Scotties theme came from my love of the artwork by Mary Engelbreit. Scudder's Scotties sounds great together, but the Scottie came to be part of our classroom because M.E. uses a Scottie quite often in her work. I've enjoyed her artwork since I was a teenager.
I am a native of Greer and have lived here all of my life, with the exception of my college years. I met my husband, Jim, while I was busy getting my Master's Degree at Winthrop University. We have 3 boys: Jacob, Andrew, and Alexander. Jacob and Madison have blessed us with our first grandson, Silas. Our boys have been very active in sports over the years, so we've been spending lots of time on ball fields.
Our family also has 3 pets, which were all rescues. Posie and Deacon are our dogs. Dallas is our cat.
Hobbies and Likes: When I have some time, I like to read, go see a movie, or work on cross-stitching. Favorite places to buy things for our classroom: Amazon, Target, and TJ Maxx. Favorite candies and snacks: peanut M&Ms, other chocolates with nuts, pistachios, and Dr. Pepper. Favorite pen: Uni-ball Vision Elite. Favorite flowers: Gerbera Daisy flowers and bright pink Dipladenia flowering plants.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you found some helpful information. :)
