Buchanan

Hello! My name is Kate Buchanan and I am thrilled to be your child’s first grade teacher this year. I graduated in 2019 from Furman University with a degree in Elementary Education, and then again in 2020 with my masters in Early Childhood Education (Go Dins)! This will be my seventh year teaching. I have taught all seven years in Greenville County Schools, but this will be my first year at Woodland! In June 2022, I married to my best friend, Michael. He is retired from professional basketball where he played in Asia, South America, and Europe! He currently works for the Wade Hampton Fire Department, but still loves to play in Greenville basketball leagues. We have the sweetest cats, Nox and Yue, who complete our little family. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, crafting, all things Disney, and of course cheering on my favorite basketball player #44!
