In this section you can find the rules and other support and training on using the iPad, including filling out the supporter form.
Using The iPads
No changing passcode or time before passcode is required (must be 1 min)
ALWAYS bring an umbrella with you each day
Only use it for work reasons unless on Wi-Fi
NEVER give the iPad to a supporter
NEVER turn off Location Services
NEVER put it on Airplane Mode
DO NOT log out of iCloud/Apple ID
Do not swap iPads with team mates
Do not use it for inappropriate purposes
You will be charged for any damages
You will be charged if you go over our monthly data allowance
Exceeding your data allowance even a little bit can result in huge charges from our network provider, which you will need to cover. You are welcome to use the iPads in your own time, however you need to make sure it is connected to WIFI. An easy way to go over your data allowance is using a personal hotspot – make sure it is off all the time.
Please note: the iPads are not insured! Never leave them down, and keep them in your hand at all times when working. You will need to pay for any damages or losses. Do not take the iPad with you if you go on holiday, leave it home where it's less likely to be lost or stolen.
The iPads are the property of Greenpeace. Please look after them and be responsible, and don’t leave them in the hands of anyone else but yourself.

Continuous Card Payments
When filling in the form with a donor, you should complete the full sign up process with them at the door.
This includes:
Your part of filling the form in and generating the QR code
Their part of filling in their bank details on their phone
If the supporter expresses to you they wish the donation to start at a later date, you should offer the option of completing a direct debit donation.
These two methods will ensure the donor completes the sign up process, have you available to answer any questions and let them know what happens next (consolidation, see below).
Consolidation
After inspiring someone to support Greenpeace, the last thing we want to do is put them off it already. Take your time to run through the next steps so they know what to expect.
This can ensure they feel valued as a supporter, and improve the retention of their donation... meaning more people power and donations to win! 💚
Confirm the amount/details including date of birth and opt ins
Confirm 1st donation date (the date of the sign up when CC payment)
Welcome call (within 7 days)
Welcome pack (7-10 days)
Future pacing e.g. "in 10 years time when you're still donating, I hope you remember the reason you signed up and you're proud of what your support has helped us do"
Thank them again!
Supporters will also receive a Connect Magazine 3 times a year via the post. This is made from vegetable ink and recycled paper.
We believe in power in people, not people in power.
