Working with Inspired People
Who are Inspired People?
The Inspired People team have combined charity fundraising and recruitment experience of over 45 years. They formed Inspired People in 2004 to assist some of the UK's best direct approach charity campaigns.
They are the only organisation in the UK that solely recruits directly for in-house fundraising charities and organisations. Based in Bristol, they have 15 full time staff members.
You are on a Workers contract with Inspired people, therefore please contact Inspired People directly with any queries. You can call their payroll department on 01275 370320 or email payroll@inspiredpeople.org.
If you have any questions, or have a complaint about IP or your assignment, please call 01275 370320. If you are calling with regards to a complaint, we will take your details in confidence and send you a copy of our complaints procedure. We will then investigate your complaint.
You work a week in hand, which means that the first week you work will be paid on the following Friday. Inspired People pay you by BACS into your bank account on the following Friday that you have worked. Each payment will show up on your bank statement as Inspired People.
The money normally clears overnight on Thursday, however sometimes things happen out of our control and the money may not be in your bank first thing on a Friday. If this happens, you should initially call your bank as they can see if a payment is due to be credited to your account. If the payment is not due to be credited then call our payroll department who will look into it for you.
Your payslip will be sent to you on Wednesday evening via the email address you gave us, to access your payslip you will need your National Insurance number as a password. The first payslip you receive may go into your Junk Mail folder so please check in there before calling us.
If you are going to be absent from work then please contact your team leader in the first instance by 09:30 by a phone call, if you cannot get hold of your team leader then call your manager and if you are unable to reach them, then call the IP office and let us know.
The holiday year runs January to December and you accrue money for every hour that you work. The amount of your holiday fund will be detailed on your payslip, this can be claimed by contacting your manager and requesting the amount you require. We need this request by email with two weeks notice so it can be signed off by your manager.
In order for us to pay your final pay and release any holiday pay that you may have outstanding we need to know if you have left. You can call into the payroll team or email them on payroll@inspiredpeople.org and they will process your final pay and issue your P45.
If you have been allocated property (iPad, clothing, etc.) on your assignment we will need all of this back clean and in good condition before we can release your final pay. If you return it smelly, you will incur a £20 cleaning fee. If you withhold items you may not receive your final pay and in some instances legal action has been taken to return the items to Greenpeace.

Whistleblowing & Grievance Procedure
Greenpeace and Inspired People are committed, at all times, to ensuring that we act with the highest levels of integrity. Whistleblowing is about reporting something you see happening to, or being done by, someone else, the grievance procedure is to report something that is happening or has happened to you.
Please see below who concerns can be addressed to.
Whistleblowing is viewed by Greenpeace and Inspired People as a positive act that can make a valuable contribution to our work. If you have any concerns about the conduct of another fundraiser, Team Leader or Coordinator or anyone else connected with Greenpeace or IP, we want you to report these at the earliest opportunity so that they can be properly investigated.
This procedure is intended to enable those who become aware of wrongdoing to report their concerns at the earliest opportunity so that they can be properly investigated. The Whistleblowing procedure is not intended to replace existing procedures. If your concern relates to your own treatment, you should raise it under the grievance procedure
What can be reported?
Any behaviour that is not in keeping with Greenpeace’s polices, values, or code of conduct can be reported. All concerns reported will be treated in confidence and every effort will be made not to reveal your identity if that is your wish. Your concerns will be taken seriously and you will be given our full support.
If you are unsure whether to use this procedure or want independent advice at any stage, you can contact the whistleblowing charity Public Concern at Work on 020 7404 6609.
While whistleblowing is about reporting something you see happening to, or being done by, someone else, the grievance procedure is to report something that is happening or has happened to you.
Informal Grievances
If, at any time, you have a grievance or complaint about anything directly connected to your assignment at Greenpeace, you should first talk to your Team Leader, Coordinator or Programme Manager who will, if possible, resolve the matter informally.
Formal Grievances
Should you still be dissatisfied, or if you consider the matter too serious to be dealt with informally in the first instance, you should contact the Face to Face Operations Manager (Paula Radley 07738321865) and Chris Reynolds at Inspired People (07801212981). You can do this in person or by phone or email.
You will be expected to explain the reasons for the complaint and that you wish the matter to be considered formally under the Greenpeace Face to Face Fundraising Complaints procedure.
Greenpeace and Inspired People will then deal formally with the matter including a thorough investigation if necessary.
