A thank you from our Co-Executive Directors
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Greenpeace team.
The funding and the number of new supporters which our face to face fundraisers bring to our organisation is essential to us when campaigning for a peaceful and sustainable future for our planet.
As an independent organisation, we do not accept any donations from corporate sources so rely completely on donations from individuals, most of which are acquired through our fundraising teams.
The threat to our world is very real. Our news feeds are saturated with stories of flooding coastlines, destructive storms and fires, and devastating species extinctions. Extreme temperatures are leaving families with less food, less clean water, lower incomes and worsening health. And those who are seeing the biggest impact are often people who are already vulnerable.
Global governments and corporate greed has pushed our planet to the brink. They’re taking us down the path to climate chaos, selling out our planet and steering us towards catastrophic global-warming. Even the most committed and passionate of us may be feeling overwhelmed or frustrated.
But together, we can make lasting change and through your passion and dedication, you will inspire others to take positive action, action that gives us hope for the world we want to see.
To represent Greenpeace on the doorsteps and festivals in the UK requires a rare passion and fortitude and to say we could not do our vital work without you is no understatement.
Whether you are speaking to someone on a snowy street in Scotland, a blustery mews in London or a muddy festival in Dorset you are empowering that person to make a stand. It is a great responsibility and a challenge few would readily take on.
Thank you for joining us, we’re excited to work with you to share more about the solutions we believe will set us on the path to our united vision. An unstoppable vision powered by people like you.
All the Best,
Areeba Hamid and Will McCallum
