Target Messages

To support the Greendale School District’s strategic goals and its focus on student attributes development, these are our target messages for the school forest’s use:

• The natural world has inherent value.
• Effective and lasting learning opportunities can be provided through direct hands-on experiences.
• Academic and social opportunities can strengthen students’ sense of community.
• Greendale’s unique environmental spaces should be accessible to benefit all students and staff.
• Environmental health and human health are interrelated.
• Environmental education is a continuous lifelong process that develops character, communication and collaboration, critical and creative thinking, citizenship and personal wellness.
