Reformation and Religious Wars

In this second unit we will explore the calls for reform within the the Roman Catholic Church during the sixteenth century. This led to the creation of many new, protestant denominations within the Christian church, as well as the reformation within the Catholic church. Since as the time most political leaders believed all of the country needed to be united under one faith, the Reformation also led to many wars over religion.
