In this article, Tessa analyzes the Kenergy of those who were not mentioned in previous Kenergy articles as a final Kenergetic goodbye to The Scroll.
For the end of the school year, and as a goodbye to The Scroll and the life I have known for the past four years (13 years, if we count kindergarten through eighth grade), I have made the crucial decision to craft one last Kenergy article. It features the Kenergy of those that simply did not fit into any of the other categories previously written about. They are so extremely Kenergetic that their Kenergy Kennot be encapsulated in any other article. In no particular order, let us jump into the final Kenergy ranking.
Harry, The man. The icon. The Styles. But who is Harry? And how does he display the Kenergy? Harry Styles is known for his flamboyant style and Grammy-winning pop songs, but there is so much more to his Kenergy than sparkling jumpsuits and catchy hits. He is humble, the gentlest of men. He is grateful for everything he has and he is kind to his fans, unlike some other musical artists. Styles gives his all to the crowd when he is on stage, but also takes pictures with his fans when they catch him out on a bike ride around Italy, running a marathon in Japan, and in Peter’s Square in Vatican City to see the new pope being announced. According to Rolling Stone, “Harry Styles was apparently spotted in the crowd of people outside of Saint Peter’s Basilica on Thursday, May 8, waiting to see white smoke emerge from the roof of the Sistine Chapel to signal the selection of Pope Francis’ successor.” Styles has been on a mission of exploration in the Real World, but nothing would be more Kenergetic than if he returned to Barbieland (the recording studio). The fans all miss him and the excitement around his album releases, but we see his Kenergy while he gives himself time to grieve his former bandmate, Liam Payne, and just get to see the sun shine again after having been performing at night in dark stadiums for nearly two years. We see his Kenergy shine through him knowing when he needs to take time for himself, and he will be back to making music when he is ready.
Spencer. The man. The icon. The iCarly. Many people have seen the hit Nickelodeon show, iCarly, but have we paid enough attention to the older brother? Or have we only seen him as comic relief? While he is quite the silly goose, he has more depth to him than that. In the episode "iPear Store", Carly meets a shy, nerdy guy at the tech store. She gets him to join her at her house and watch a movie with her, but when she comes back with the popcorn, she sees that he has changed his outfit and attempted to set the scene for something more than watching a movie. He tries to kiss her, but Carly runs away. He chases her, with no care for her rejection of his advances, and Carly runs downstairs to find her older brother, Spencer. He immediately sees Carly’s discomfort and interrupts what the boy is doing. Spencer becomes visibly enraged at the boy trying to kiss Carly, so he twists the boy’s arm and throws him out of the apartment. The boy yells through the door that he left his phone, so Spencer takes a giant hammer to it and throws the broken pieces at the boy before slamming the door in his face. Spencer truly went above and beyond for his sister, showing a blatant sign of his Kenergy. We may have doubted the fact that Spencer has Kenergy, but after seeing how he protects his sister whilst maintaining his tomfoolery, this perfect balance illustrates that he radiates true Kenergy.
Ryan. The man. The icon. The Gosling. We all know Ryan Gosling—the inventor of Kenergy. The most Kenergetic man on this list, Gosling coined the term and accepted help from Barbie actress, Margot Robbie, to harness the power of his Kenergy while they were filming. On Good Morning America, he stated, “I doubted my Kenergy but I had to trust that [Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie] would guide me.” The fact that he accepted the guidance towards his Kenergy from the women in his life is one of the most prominent signs of Kenergy in Gosling. Ever since that Kenergy has been harnessed in him, it is clear it has not gone away—and likely never will. We can see it has been in him, unnoticed and unnamed, from an incredibly young age. He has always had the face of a man with the utmost Kenergy. Gosling has love and respect for the humans around him, regardless of gender. He not only supports but continuously goes out of his way to uplift the women in his life. During the Barbie press tour in 2023, interviewers would often ask about Gosling’s “Ken” character. He would give short, sometimes uninteresting, replies, but then shift the focus back to Robbie as “Barbie”, since the movie was about Barbie and not Ken. A man who is humble, eager to share the spotlight, and actively gives credit where credit is due—credit that is often kept from women in the entertainment industry—proves that Ryan Gosling is the most Kenergetic man of all time.
Kenergy is the most Kenergetic form of Kenergy that embodies all things Ken. Truly, ‘tis bittersweet to write the last Kenergy article that shall ever make an appearance on The Scroll. As stated in the first-ever "Kenergy" article, no longer be Kenfused, the Kenergy will come to you.
