Best Original Song was won by “What Was I Made For?”, Barbie. Best Television Series-- Drama was won by Succession. Best Television Series-- Musical or Comedy was won by The Bear. Some of the celebrities in attendance were Brie Larson, Emma Stone, Greta Lee, Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie, Mark Hampton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, and many more. The Grammys are meant to recognize spectacular work in the music industry. Some of the awards include Record Of The Year, won by Miley Cyrus for her song “Flowers”. Album Of The Year was won by Taylor Swift with the album Midnights. Song Of The Year was won By “What Was I Made For? [From The Motion Picture Barbie. Producer Of The Year was won by Jack Antonoff. Best Pop Vocal Album was won by Taylor Swift for Midnights. Some celebrities in attendance were Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Finneas and Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lana Del Rey, Josh Grobane, Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, John Legend, and many more. The headliners were Lana Del Rey, Tyler the Creator, and Doja Cat. The lineup also included Sublime, Blur, Ice Spice, Deftones, Justice, Peso Pluma, Grimes, and more. Some celebrities in attendance were Paris Hilton, Chloe Bailey, Rihanna, Renee Rapp, Olivia Rodrigo, Gleb Savchenko, Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, Taylor Swift, Emma Roberts, Shakira, Sabrina Carpenter, and more. In May 2024, Jojo Siwa had her major, edgy rebrand and released "Karma". Jojo Siwa went from a child star to a dark “gay icon”. Before her rebrand, she made Instagram posts that formed a hidden message, saying, “See you in one month. Remember Karma’s a b----.” Then, she released karma and an interesting music video. The music video has 50 million views on YouTube. As the song begins, she says, “i was a bad girl / i did some bad things” though, in the past, she was not known for doing bad things. She has lost many fans with her new rebrand. In an interview with Billboard, she said, “I wanted it to be as bold and as ballsy as possible. There is nothing more ballsy than this song. Originally, I was scared of this song. I was 18 years old. I didn’t want to say ‘b----’ I didn’t want to say ‘I was a bad girl’ because I wasn’t a bad girl." She still is not a bad girl. No matter what she tries to do, she still seems to be a child inside.

July was brat summer, a trend that took over pop culture and politics. The trend is all based on Charli XCX’s hit album brat. The Collins dictionary announced "brat" as the 2024 word of the year, defining it as “characterized by a confident, independent, and hedonistic attitude” and that is all thanks to the brat album. Brat has inspired many TikTok dances, marketing campaigns, and fashion trends, which led online fans to coin the term “brat summer.” Although summer is over, the trends are still going strong. Fans were particularly taken by the album's distinctive yet minimalistic cover art: “brat” written in low-res font on a lime green background.
From Aug. 8 to 10, Taylor Swift had a series of highly anticipated concerts scheduled to take place in Vienna, Austria, attracting fans from around the globe. However, a serious threat emerged when a jihadist militant group was reported to have plans to carry out an attack during the events. The severity of the situation prompted swift action from local authorities, who worked diligently to ensure public safety. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Taylor Swift shared her emotions with her fans, stating, "Having our Vienna shows canceled was devastating. But I was also so grateful to the authorities because, thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives." The Wicked movie was released on Nov. 22, 2024. It was a highly anticipated film adaption of the Wicked musical that premiered on Broadway in 2003. The director of the Wicked movie is Jon M. Chu. He directed the film In the Heights in 2021, making him a good choice for this movie. The woman behind the screenplay was none other than Winnie Holzman, who wrote the musical's book. Emmy, Grammy, and Tony-winning powerhouse/Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo plays Elphaba in the movie, a role originated by none other than Iniana Mezel. Starring alongside Erivo is Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist Ariana Grande, taking on the role of Glinda. The role of Glinda was originated by beloved Tony and Emmy winner, Kristin Chenoweth. The movie includes many stars with roots in Broadway and musical theater, making this a movie you don't want to miss.
This Dec, we said goodbye to the Eras Tour. Taylor Swift has been performing since Mar. 17, 2023. It began in Arizona and ended in Vancouver, Canada. It has been a long time coming and she deserves a break. Swift’s Eras tour made a grand total of $2 billion. Around 10,168,008 Swifties attended the Eras tour around the world. Swift told Time magazine to prepare herself for the physical demands of the show. She trained for six months with a cardio regimen that included singing the entire set list while running. Swift created a three-and-a-half-hour performance consisting of over 40 songs and 10 acts. Many Swifties had the time of their lives at the Eras Tour and can't wait for the next era.
