Philosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. It covers the theories for answers to life's deepest questions, such as love, existence, beauty, thought, goodness, evil and purpose. This category may consist of philosophies of religions, historical figures, the current world, or philosophers on different topics. It may also consist of history or fables of ncient philosophers. If an article is an opinion piece, then it will be labeled as such.
Philosophy is important because it makes us aware of what we believe, why we believe it, and the perspective of what others believe. Through philosophy, we can understand our worldview (perspective on life through which we see the world) and develop our own understanding of what we believe and why. We can also become more empathetic to others when we understand their perspectives a little better.
The Scroll reports on philosophy in a variety of ways. This includes philosophical topics with different perspectives of religions, cultures, or theories. It may include the history and fables of ancient philosophers. It also may include philosophical theories, opinion pieces, or interviewing GP students with random, amusing philosophical questions.
