SPRING i-Ready DIAGNOSTIC March 2-20, 2026
Teachers will need to assign the Diagnostic assessment when they are ready to have students take it. DIRECTIONS HERE. Several teachers grades 3-8 requested to do the Diagnostic sooner in order to use current data to help determine instructional focus before RISE testing, so the Spring Diagnostic window was moved up this year to March. Once the assessment is completed, you will be able to use the data to determine intentional focus for instruction prior to RISE. Suggested reports in i-Ready: Grade Level Planning (Prerequisite) report & Instructional Grouping report
Teachers K-8 have the option to administer a 4th Diagnostic in May to get end of year student data. This would provide several benefits.
· Family Letter with specific glows and grows for each student to be sent home with end of year data
· Realign the students’ My Path lessons and Learning Games for continued summer learning
· Determine areas of strength and growth to shift instruction for the following year.

What Is Evidence-Based Math Instruction? - The TRUE Science of Math
A one-page publication was released from USBE explaining “What is Evidence-Based Math Instruction?” in response to the group that has been using the name “Science of Math” to promote instructional practices that do not always reflect the primarily endorsed evidence-based approaches to effective math teaching practices.
