We will continue using i-Ready Classroom Mathematics for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years. This curriculum is aligned with the proposed new core; additional lessons will be provided for new Utah standards. This next year only some licenses will be provided for each school by the STEM Action Center for the My Path Personalized Instruction lessons (an add on for Tier 2 instruction); individual schools have the option to purchase additional licenses. All other resources are still available to all students & classrooms including Instructional Reports, Learning Games, and Fluency Flight.
We still have full access to all the great i-Ready tools and resources:
Digital dashboard for both students and teachers with link to Family Support Center
Teacher Toolbox with instructional activities for K-8
i-Ready Diagnostic (will be called i-Ready Inform) which provides data for all of the Reports used to inform Tier 1 & Tier 2 instruction
Student digital Learning Games
Fluency Flight (grades 2-5)
Digital tools/manipulatives
2026 Draft P-12 Utah Core Mathematics Standards pdf
USBE is having an independent review done on the draft standards. Once that process is complete, the standards are expected to be approved. We anticipate implementation of the new math standards Fall 2027.
The math team presented the results from the survey the State Board released to gather feedback from stakeholders on the structure of the Secondary Math Standards at the March 12th Standards and Assessment Committee meeting.

i-Ready Classroom Mathematics & Building Fact Fluency
These are independent programs which we use in Granite School District. Their separate purposes and resources complement each other to build a foundation of conceptual understanding of mathematics to support GSD's Strategic Plan.
More information about each of these programs can be found on the i-ReadyMath and BFF pages of this website.
What Is Evidence-Based Math Instruction? - The TRUE Science of Math
A one-page publication was released from USBE explaining “What is Evidence-Based Math Instruction?” in response to the group that has been using the name “Science of Math” to promote instructional practices that do not always reflect the primarily endorsed evidence-based approaches to effective math teaching practices.
