2) Manage Your Time Well. Use class time and advisory to complete assignments. Create a study plan and stick to it. Eliminate disruptions - put your phone way, turn off the television, and just focus.
3) Check Your Grades Regularly. Set a consistent time to check Canvas and Gradebook. Identify your missing assignments and schedule time to complete them. Check your grades and plan for retakes as necessary.
4) Talk to Your Teachers. When you have questions about an assignment or concerns about a grade, reach out to your teachers and ask for help. That's what they're here for! Take advantage of after school homework club - you'd be surprised how many of your teachers offer their time to help outside the daily class periods.
5) Be Prepared. Be on Time. Be Present. Studies consistently show that succeeding in school requires being in school. So, come to school on time, every day. The more consistent you are about daily school attendance, the easier learning becomes. Don't forget to come prepared with paper, pencil, books, and a fully CHARGED Chromebook. Learn teacher's expectations/classroom procedures and take responsibility for you - your grades, attitude, behavior, & success!
