What do I love most about teaching 5th grade?
I love the way 5th graders are so curious about the world around them. I love their willingness to try even when the work may be a little hard for them. I love their hunger for reading new books. Most of all, I love their stories, their sense of humor and their great smiles!

What is my favorite memory from last year?
My favorite memory from last year was when students read “The Wild Robot”. We made some amazing projects and shared some intense feelings as we wove our way through the novel. Students will remember Roz (the robot) and Brightbill (the goose) as they become an unusual, but loving family.
