Ms. Murphy-Davis grew up in Greenfield and graduated from Elms College with degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology. She also obtained a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instructional Technology and received the Grinspoon Award for Excellence in teaching. This year will be her 26th year teaching. She enjoys reading, kayaking, shopping, and spending time with her dogs, her friends, and family.

What do I love most about teaching 5th grade??
My favorite thing about teaching fifth grade is how much fun the students are! 5th graders are independent, open minded thinkers who want to learn and participate in fun activities and projects.

What is my favorite memory from last year??
There are so many memories I could list, but a particularly fun one was when we read a nonfiction article about simple machines and how they function in catapults and then "stormed" the teacher next door, launching ping pong balls at her.
