What is LEGO Spike Prime?

The LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime Kit is a STEM learning tool for grade 5-8 students. It includes colourful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and a drag-and-drop coding language similar to SCRATCH. Students are able to explore easy entry projects to limitless creative designs through a variety of coding languages (icon, blocks, python) allowing teachers to differentiate for all.

What is included in the kit?

The LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime Set comes with all of the building elements to complete a range of design challenges and activities. The kit includes a light matrix brick, three motors and four sensors (colour, touch, ultrasonic, and gyro. The possibilities are endless!

What coding languages are available in Spike?

Regardless of your experience with coding, The LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime program allows students to explore coding using icons, blocks, and python. You do not need to be an expert in coding to explore this resource with your students.
