Who? All Grade 7 & 8 Girls who are interested in slo-pitch are welcome to try out - no experience necessary!
What? Organized slo-pitch. The athletes have an opportunity to learn the basics & play against schools across the city.
When? The team practices/plays two (2) to four (4) times a week after school (3:00 - 4:00 pm). The season is May to early June.
Where? Practices are held at Kensal Park. Away game locations vary and will be posted below.
Why? Slo-Pitch encourages a healthy and active lifestyle, plus... it's fun!

We hope you learned something new and had some fun along the way.
We are fortunate to have a large school and a lot of athletes wanting to participate in sports. Unfortunately, this means that not everyone will make the team.
The following students have made the 2025 Girls' Slo-Pitch team:
Teghan, Audree, Ashtyn, Jada, Peyton, Emma, Jenna, Cara, Ameera, Abby, Zoe, Lauren, Taylor and Veronica.
If your name was not listed above, this means that, unfortunately, you will not be on the slo-pitch team this season. Thank you for coming to tryouts. We hope you learned something new and had some fun! Please don't be discouraged.

Girls, please have a look at the Google Form to see the different designs and colour choices. Please vote for the design and colour you like best. The designs that designs can be altered/modified if you would like to change something. Form closes Tuesday!

Schedule
The team will have a combination of practices (3:00 - 4:00 pm) & games (4:00 - 5:00 pm) after school, two to four (2-4) times a week.
The season runs from May to early June. It is expected that athletes are able to attend the majority of team events.
Playing Time
The team will consist of thirteen to fifteen total students.
During the regular season, playing time will be split evenly.
Skill Development
The students will learn the fundamentals of slo pitch, with an emphasis on technique, skill development, communication, teamwork, and having fun!
They will learn how to take an at-bat, field, throw, positions, basic strategy, and much more.
