Schedule
The team will have a combination of practices (3:00 - 4:30 pm) & games (3:00 - 5:00 pm) after school, four (4) times a week.
The season runs from December to February. It is expected that athletes are able to attend the majority of team events.
Playing Time
The team will consist of twelve (12) total students. In volleyball, six (6) players play on the court at any given time.
During the regular season, playing time will be split evenly between all twelve (12) students.
During playoffs, the team will vote if they would like to split playing time evenly or play our most competitive lineup.
Skill Development
The students will learn the fundamentals of volleyball, with an emphasis put on technique, skill development, communication, teamwork, and having fun!
They will learn how to bump, volley, serve, attack, block, rotate, floor positions, basic strategy, and much more.
Students will learn and play all of the different positions on the court and will not be assigned a position during the season.
Our coaches believe playing all of the positions helps to develop players' overall abilities further and gives them positional flexibility when playing at the next level.

Please submit a completed Transportation Form (posted under forms).
Practices
The team will practice after school until 4:30 pm (ish)
Please have students let coaches know if they are unable to attend practice.
Please be at the school by 4:45 pm for pick up.
Home Games
The team will practice after school until 3:30 pm (ish) and then set the gym up / warm up in preparation for the game.
Games start at 4:00 pm and usually end around 5:00 pm
Spectators welcome! We encourage everyone to come!
Please be at the school by 5:15 pm for pick up.
Away Games
The team will practice after school until 3:30 pm.
There is no bus provided to away games, and we rely solely on parent volunteers to transport the team.
To transport team members, parents are required to submit a completed Transportation Form (below) to coaches.
We ask that all parents submit a form at the beginning of the season in case they end up driving at some point.
We will leave Kensal Park at 3:30 pm.
Games start at 4:00 pm and usually end around 5:00 pm
Spectators welcome! We encourage everyone to come!

Referees Requirements:
A thorough understanding of the rules of the game & previous playing experience is preferable.
Coaches will review how to referee with you before the game.
Minimum age: Grade 9 student.
This is a great way to get your High School volunteer hours... we're looking at you, former team members!
Scorekeeper Requirements:
A smile and a willingness to learn!
Coaches will show you how the scoreboard works before the game.
Minimum age: Grade 6 students
Please get in contact with any of the coaches if you are interested in volunteering.
