BEST FREE SOFTWARE REPLACEMENTS - Just type in the software you want to replace.
1. PHOTOPEA - works great for anyone with a knowledge of Photoshop & good internet. Useful for photography classes and digital art projects. Works in the browser. No download needed.
2. FIRE ALPACA - kids like it for digital drawing, painting, and animation and the results are good. Hard to use for those things without a graphics tablet. Needs to be downloaded
3. KRITA - have not used this personally since I have Photoshop, but the students really like it for digital painting. Needs a download. Again, a graphics tablet helps.
4. GIMP - has been around a long time and some people love it.
PHOTOGRAPHY -free by the big boys of digital software:
5. Adobe LIGHTROOM app - for phones and tablets it is free with some of the functions locked unless you buy the full version. Good.
6. Adobe PHOTOSHOP EXPRESS - photo editing and collage making. Free for phones and tablets. It says it can be used on Windows desktops but I have not tried it yet because I have full Photoshop on my computers.
PROCREATE - is the most powerful and intuitive digital illustration app available for iPad. It's packed with features artists love, and it's an iPad exclusive.
