We have established the following guidelines for providing access to Denticon both for new users as well as those that may be covering. With access comes many different responsibilities including getting the user trained. To aid in the onboarding process we will be providing new administrative users with access to Denticon University during the onboarding process. The current Denticon University provides resources for administrative team members only, prompting us to start building our own University. It is currently under construction; however, when this new resource is complete, we will be capable of supporting administrative and clinical users. For many users the University is the first view of Denticon, we want to give them the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the University prior to walking into your very busy offices. Access will be granted on your behalf. You will take on the training aspect once the employee is in the practice. Please refer to the roles below for timelines that we will use under ideal situations.

We have a new custom Sandbox available to our team. This will allow a new hire to experience the most true-to-life iteration of Denticon we have available. The user can access the Sandbox by entering in a chrome preferred web browser www.planetdds.com. This is the exact site you would travel to if you were logging in to your Live Denticon environment. Credentials will be shared with you via the drive to provide to your teams. Each user role is set up to mimic the access that they will have when they are working in the Live environment.
A great benefit of our size and proximity of each practice to one another is the ability to provide coverage via internal resources. This gives us the unique ability to provide a consistent level of care to our patients while our teams have the flexibility to take time off. When the need for coverage arises, we need to maintain consistency with how these team members access Denticon. To that end below we have outlined by the role the current format to provide access to the employees that are covering.
Admin, OM, FD, etc. – Will use the temporary access assigned to the office. This may be by way of a training login. If one is not available, we will create a temporary login for the office. This will be largely self-serve as RMs have access to the passwords.
Hygiene Providers – Will sign in using the Back login for the office where they are treating patients in. There isn’t a need to add them to Denticon. The procedures they perform are posted to the House provider.
Dentist Providers – Will require a request to be submitted to add them to the office. This will detail the length of time they need access as well as where the coverage is required. The link to the request is Denticon Access Request. Please provide adequate time to get the provider added. Covering dentists will post the treatment that they provide under their login.
