Have you ever heard the expression, "put yourself in someone else's shoes"? This doesn't mean that we have to go around taking people's shoes ,😀 but that we should try to understand how others are feeling and try to respond in helpful ways.
Parents/Guardians:
We all need a little help from time to time. If you are going through an upsetting or difficult time, it's important to know that you are not alone - reach out to the supports in your family, school or community. Ask yourself:
1. Who in my life would best understand what I'm going through right now? (friend, family member, teacher, coach).
2. What support do I need right now to feel better? (talking, activity, hug, listening, practice, advice).
3. Who can I go to for professional help? (counsellor, teacher, Kids Help Phone, doctor)
I will reach out to: __________________________________ for support today.
