Season 1 Continues with More Hawks Action

Season 1 continued last Thursday, September 24th, with our Varsity Boys and Girls Volleyball teams welcoming Jakarta Intercultural School to Global Jaya School.

The two teams experienced different results on the day. Our Varsity Boys Volleyball team continued their strong form with a 2–0 victory, while our Varsity Girls battled through a very competitive first set before eventually losing the match 0–2.

The action continued on Saturday, September 26th, as both volleyball teams travelled to SPH-KV. The boys secured another 2–0 victory, while the girls continued to compete and gain valuable experience despite a 0–2 loss against the host school.

Also on Saturday, we had the pleasure of welcoming SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara to Global Jaya School for one of their first official matches. Around 150 people attended, creating a fantastic atmosphere around the field. Our Varsity Boys Soccer team eventually fell to a narrow 0–1 defeat, but the opportunity to compete in front of such a large and enthusiastic crowd provided a valuable experience for our students.

Coming Up This Saturday

Season 1 continues on Saturday, October 3rd, with another busy morning of Hawks sports.

Our U15 Boys and Girls Basketball teams will host Santa Laurensia and ACG Jakarta at Global Jaya School, with games beginning at 8:00 AM. At the same time, our Varsity Girls Soccer team will host British School Jakarta at GJS, while our Varsity Boys Soccer team will travel to BSJ for their away match, also kicking off at 8:00 AM.

Season 2 2026/27 Secondary Sports – Registrations Open!

Dear Global Jaya Community,

We are excited to announce that Sports Season 2 will begin on November 10th and run until January 30th. This season will feature Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball and U15 Boys and Girls Volleyball.

Here's the practice schedule (Varsity - Year 10-12, U15 Year 7-9):

• Varsity Boys Basketball: Wednesdays (3:00 – 4:30 pm) and Fridays (2:30 – 4:00 pm)

  • Coach: Pak Dodin

• Varsity Girls Basketball: Wednesdays (3:00 – 4:30 pm) and Fridays (2:30 – 4:00 pm)

  • Coaches: Pak Amrull (Head Coach) and Pak Rama (Assistant Coach)

• U15 Boys Volleyball: Tuesdays (3:00 – 4:30 pm) and Thursdays (3:00 – 4:30 pm)

  • Coach: Pak Totok

• U15 Girls Volleyball: Tuesdays (3:00 – 4:30 pm) and Thursdays (3:00 – 4:30 pm)

  • Coaches: Ibu Harna and Pak Tofan

Season Fee / Uniform Price

• Varsity Basketball (2x per week): IDR 600,000

• U15 Volleyball (2x per week): IDR 600,000

• Uniform: IDR 230,000

Students who already have the current GJS Athletics uniform do not need to purchase a new one. Students who do not have a uniform will need to purchase one as part of their Season 2 registration.

When ordering a uniform, please make sure you choose a different number from those already chosen by your teammates.
