WALT Share our knowledge of leaders

This week we created bio cubes! Each side has a different piece of information relating to our leader. It was a good way for us to summarise what we had learned about our leaders (which was one of our WALTs from reading) and communicate it in a fun way for our peers to learn from.

WALT: Identify attributes of a leader

We worked together to find information about our given leader and then came together to discuss the common attributes of these people. As well as this, we listed other leaders that we know of and began discussing some of the bigger questions for this inquiry unit!

WALT: Understand the GIS school values

Coming into Glenfield Intermediate, we have learnt that it is important for use to use the 4Rs when operating within our school community. It is important that we show respect, act responsibly, build positive relationships and show resilience. As table groups, we worked together to identify how we may be able to demonstrate these values and why it is important that we use them!

WALT: Understand the GIS vision and what it means to inspire, challenge and empower

To get an understanding of the Glenfield Intermediate School vision, we had an in-depth discussion about what each term (inspire, challenge and empower) means. We worked together to put the definitions in our own words and came up with examples of each. We then created posters, where we displayed our ideas of what inspire, challenge and empower means, how we can inspire, challenge and empower others and also gave examples of people in our lives who inspire, challenge and empower us!

WALT: Work together to create a class treaty, which outlines the ways in which we agree to work together this year
