This year, Juniors Marleigh McFarland and Anna Zingale competed in the Community Awareness event. In this event, competitors are tasked in creating a campaign to educate their local community about a public health issue of their choice. Save A Life HOSA is dedicated to raising community awareness about blood donation. Using social media, utilization of local community centers, and promoting local blood drives, they have reached over 90,000 people about blood donation. Marleigh and Anna finished 2nd at regionals, but unfortunately did not place top 3 at the State Leadership Conference in order to advance to the International Leadership Conference.

Juniors Bhumi Patel, Isa Rivera, Quinn Toth, and Keira Hazell are competing in the Medical Innovation event. In this event, competitors are tasked with designing a new innovative concept to advance healthcare. They have designed a device called the "Back Flexion System" which is a more convenient and cheap option for people to help with lumbar region pain in the spine. Bhumi, Isa, Quinn, and Keira finished 4th at regionals, and won first place at the State Leadership Conference and will be travelling to Dallas to compete in the International Leadership Conference!

Sports Medicine juniors Toni Dejanov, Nate Highland, and Bryce Evans along with Bioscience junior Addy Galloway competed in the Health Education event. In this event, competitors are tasked with picking an important health topic and educating people about said topic in a meaningful way. They chose to educate local 7th graders on the basics and importance of adrenaline and how it can save lives. After doing so, they found through student-responses that many students were more educated on adrenaline prior to their presentation. Toni, Nate, Bryce, and Addy placed 3rd at regionals, but unfortunately did not place top 3 at the State Leadership Conference in order to advance to the International Leadership Conference.
