What are they?

Communication is important since this skill is needed throughout everyday life, no matter what situation an individual is in as they would need to interact with others in order to build their knowledge, get past challenges, pass time and help others. This is an important value to portray effectively and give a good impression for others on. Most jobs in the future as well as school life through interactions with teachers, peers and friends, rely heavily on this skill and the more effectively one is able to communicate with others, the more preferable they are as most professions include interacting with other people of society as well as being one which is encountered no matter where you go, for example, shopping, outside, inside school, house, with strangers, acquaintances, family and friends. Without adequate communication capabilities, it could cause misunderstandings, challenges and tension between relationships of others, isolation of an individual, strong emotions becoming involved through conflicts and misunderstanding and even limited advancements in life.

Collaboration is also another important value since it's also similar to the value of communication since without communication, there would not be efficient collaboration between the group members involved. This skill is also used throughout everyday life and would also be a vital skill to possess in the future for most career choices since it would need individuals to collaborate with others whom they study or work with to complete certain tasks and jobs in order to complete it effectively and efficiently to a high standard. If this one did not have this skill, it would cause disputes in the groups, a negative work environment and affect certain relationships quite negatively. This would create rising challenges, however, if one could refine their collaboration skills, it would allow them to be able to work with others to achieve a common goal in a positive environment and allow them to overcome challenges they may face together, further deepening their friendships or closeness as colleges or peers, creating a better relationship with others as well as your image or perception through the eyes of others. 

Creativity & Critical Thinking are also important values which Glenunga especially values since it allows an individual's ideas to be original and allow problem solving skills to become further developed. In order to complete some tasks more efficiently and make it different from the rest through taking a creative approach or problem solving in a different view from others, it could allow you to come up with new ideas, hypothesises and enable others to take inspiration from your ideas. This allows you to also develop skills of collaboration and creativity as thinking collaboratively as a group could spark more creative ideas as you build on each other's ideas and are able to come up with a variety of opinions and merge them together to create better ones. It would also enhance the skill of communication as you are working together to overcome challenging problems and think critically about how you should encounter certain topics, questions and tasks. 

Character is just as important as the other values since it enables an individual to promote, develop and increase citizenship and certain positive behaviours throughout their lives. This is an important skill to obtain and develop since depending on the type of character someone possesses, it determines which types of people they attract, whether they may become employed and others' opinions and views of them. In order to create a better character facade towards others, it's important to help out others when they need it through the skill of communication as well as making sure to portray the key values of honesty, integrity and consistently growing in the aspect of strengthening other aspects of an individual's personality, skill ability and overall values as a person.

Citizenship is the last, but not least important value which Glenunga values since everyone is a citizen and whether we display good or bad values of our citizenship and involvement in a community is our choice. This value is important since due to being a part of a community, it's important to become involved for a good cause and play our part to contribute to creating an advanced future and participating in school activities to contribute to the school culture and community. Examples of these would be making sure to show the school values and demonstrate the skills in order to enhance the abilities of yourself as well as particular other individuals which you involve yourselves with, for example, your friends.

All values are seen to intertwine at certain points and are all equally as important to have as a value and skills as the other, allowing an indiviudal to grow and develop as a person of soceity. This allows them to contribute their part into the community and displaying these skills effectively and efficiently to complete tasks and overcome challenges through problem solving and collaborating with others.
