TCGIS Nordic and its 24 skiers had a fantastic season with new races (Founders' Classic in Mora and Alphabet Soup Invitational) and lots of PR's and school records. While it was another low-snow season, we were thankful to be able to have most of our practices at Battle Creek and all
Snowmaking at Battle Creek allowed TCGIS Nordic and its 26 skiers to have a season. Although many practices and races had to be canceled due to warm weather, the team still had a lot of successes - and a lot of fun! We tried new races (Duluth CXC Cup and Battle Creek Ascent) and tried new formats with individual sprints and interval starts.
The TCGIS Nordic Ski Team grew to 17 skiers and made the switch to being an interscholastic team and competed in races for the first time (MyXC Wednesday night team sprints, Pre-Loppet and Twin Cities Loppet).
Cross-country skiing at TCGIS began in the winter of 2021/2022 as an intramural sport with 16 skiers. The team held practice twice a week at Como Park.
