'Africa Youth in Media' taught by Professor Bergere, engages with African media and issues through the eyes of the youth. The course examined and analyzed how the youth utilized media to create social and political change. Adolescents, in general, and specifically in Africa, play a critical role in social change as they navigate political and societal challenges. African studies, media, history, and anthropology were all explored to comprehend the theoretical and practical social setting for the youth to reflect on how their historical, social, political, and economic context shapes the media they produce and consume.Â
