Winifred Woodward graduated from Pacific College in 1933 with a Bachelor of Arts and a thesis titled "Herbert C. Hoover and the Commission for Relief in Belgium." Winifred lettered for playing on the Pacific College Tennis Team and received two bars for Volleyball at the end of the school year in 1930. She was awarded this sweater, a Volleyball letter, a Basketball letter, and a Tennis letter in 1931. She again received the Volleyball letter in 1933. In addition to her involvement with sports, Winifred played piano for student functions, participated in May Day campus festivities and pageants, was a member and officer of the Trefian Literary Society, was an officer in student government, and acted in a number of campus theater productions. Winifred married fellow student-athlete Carl Sandoz.
